Vision For LIfe is hosting an information and awareness conference. It is our hope that everyone attending this conference will have a heart to support the prevention of ABUSE. “If These Walls Start Talking”, Conference is designed to motivate and educate us to do more to fight for the protection and prevention of the abused. There are many types of abuse. If Theses Walls Start Talking Conference will address areas that are often left out. Take a look at a few: Do you know someone who has been hurt by the church?... in a domestic conflict?... What about the domestic abuse among high school and college students? how can the courts help...and the topics goes on. This conference will give healthy pointers those who are greiving. There is so much to learn at If These Walls Start Talking. During this conference the abuser can get help too. This conference will focus on ways of understanding abuse, how cultural histories, traditions and beliefs can affect our responses and how receiving the necessary assistance can break the cycle of abuse in your life.
A special seminar will be held for Women Pastors, Women in five-fold ministry or women ministers interested in serving in ministry called “Women’s Struggle in Ministry”, Wednesday, February 17, 2010 from 4:00 pm.-8:30pm. Purpose of the conference
This stimulating conference will provide additional information to participants who desire to enhance their knowledge and skills surrounding the spiritual and clinical aspects of abuse. Professional throughout the country will share information and insight that will assist us in being better prepared to prevent abuse. It will also help us more readily identify the behavior of the abused and the abuser. This conference will offer each participant a referral resource manual to help those in need of additional services.
